As I've mentioned before, we absolutely LOVE going to the library. When my husband and I came to check out the area before we moved here one of the first things we did was check out the local library. They are such a treasure trove of amazing resources and opportunities, and that all before you even open a book.
At the time of this writing, LEGO club is every Thursday from 4-6 pm, but you might want to check the library calendar before you go, just in case that's changed. It's advertised as being for ages 4 and up, so I was worried about keeping my youngest busy, but there was plenty there for her to do too. This library has a decent play area in the children's area. There are puzzles, blocks, and a few other toys. It's not a huge selection, but it is enough to have some fun while you're there.
There is no registration for this club, you just show up, grab a box of LEGO off of the huge cart and start creating. There are tons of different types of LEGOS, including DUPLOS for the littles.
We've been here a couple of times now, and the attendance has varied quite a bit each time. Once it was mostly 4-5 year olds, another time it was 6-9 year olds. I'd say if you think your child would enjoy some LEGO time, then just go for it. And if you do come check out the library, don't forget to look for the rock we hid outside.
