Davis Creek is located right off the highway near Bower's Mansion. Our first visit here was to fish in the pond, but you can also hike up the mountain or along the interpretive trail, camp, picnic, and even listen to the local Alp Horn club practice almost every week. And you just can't beat the views!
There are several options for walking/hiking trails here. The Discovery trail is a 1.5 mile loop around the park. There is a bit of hill climbing, but it's not too terrible. If you park in the first parking lot on the right the trail starts in the North West corner of the lot. It's not well marked, but you'll find it!
The Ophir Creek trail heads up the mountain to Rock Lake. We've hiked the first mile or so, but we've never made it all the way to the lake. My understanding is that it is a fairly difficult trail, almost completely uphill for the whole 7.2 miles.
The Nature Trail is a .5 mile loop around the pond with minor elevation changes. This would be pretty easy for even little kids to do, though it is not stroller-friendly.
As far as amenities, there are 3 restrooms at various points around the park (see map here), but I'm not aware of any sources for drinking water (though I suppose there would be water spigots in the campground and possibly in the picnic areas).
