Junior Giants is a free, non-competitive baseball league for children and teenagers of all ability levels. Run entirely by community volunteers, the program not only teaches the kids to play ball but also teaches character building principles of health, education, and anti-bullying. All equipment is provided by the league, including a team T-shirt, a Giants baseball cap, and a glove that the kids get to keep.
This year the season ran through all of June and July, with one practice and one game each week. The kids had chances to earn small prizes through participation and educational activities (like keeping a reading log), and everyone went home with a trophy at the end of the season.

We loved our experience with Jr. Giants and hope to be able to participate again next year!
