Do your kids love to craft? I know mine do! Give them some paper, scissors, and glue and they're happy for what seems like forever. As awesome as it is watching their creativity blossom though, I don't always love the mess that comes with it. Tiny paper trimmings, sticky glue dribbles everywhere, you know what I mean. So, when I was approached a few weeks ago by Katelyn at Not.The.Average.Kids with a chance to try out one of her adorable craft kits I jumped right on that opportunity! My kids couldn't wait for the day when we finally got to break open the box and get started creating! Round Table Pizza - Topsy Lane - Carson City

Last week our oldest earned an award at school, and part of the prize was a coupon for a free personal pan pizza at Round Table Pizza. We made a family event of it and had a nice lunch there on Saturday. The kids loved it and we all got to eat a yummy lunch, so it was a win for everyone!

Santa Train 2018 - Carson City

One really fun thing we did at Christmas time in 2018 was to take our kids to ride the Santa Train at the Nevada State Railroad Museum. We had so much fun, and the kids are already asking if we'll go back next year.

Run, Rattle, and Roll - Minden

It's official. My kids have a new favorite place to play.

Recently we got to visit Run, Rattle, and Roll for the first time and it was an instant hit! I mean, how could it not be? It's got a race track, a zip-line swing, a 3 level playground, and so much more! Located a quick 15 minute drive from Carson City, it's a wonderland of fun for everyone!

Carson Lanes Family Fun Center - Carson City

When I found out there was a way to enjoy free bowling with my kids all summer long, I just knew I had to sign up! We ended up getting busy and only took advantage of the Kids Bowl Free program once before the end of the summer but hey, one free bowling visit is better than none, right? The kids absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back again!

Full Steam Ahead, Wabuska Depot - Carson City

Whether you are a train enthusiast, or just looking for a fun weekend activity, this is SO much fun! We headed down to the Wabuska train depot today for a ride on a train pulled by a historic steam locomotive. Oh my goodness, this might just be our new favorite way to spend the day as a family!
