Santa Maria Park - Dayton

Our playgroup has been making our way through several of the local parks, and recently we visited Santa Maria Park out in Dayton, NV. It was a nice little park and the kids had a lot of fun. Lots of green space, basketball courts, a play structure, and picnic areas.
The layout of this park is pretty convenient. The parking lot puts you right by the playground and the restrooms, although they were locked and the drinking fountain was turned off when we visited.
There are picnic tables and BBQ grills available near the playground so you can sit and relax while your kids play, or have a nice lunch before you head home.
This playground was small, but nice. There were ride-on toys, as well as a play structure. There is not any shade around the toys, but there are some trees near the picnic area.
The play structure had lots of fun elements and seemed to be in good repair. The only downside was that there is not a toddler/preschooler safe way to get from the smaller side to the larger side. No ladder or bridge. This meant the little kids were all confined to one side of the structure and made it somewhat overcrowded for our little group.
Across the grassy area from the playground there are some fun climbing trees and a huge tree stump. We wandered over there and the kids had a great time climbing around on everything.
