Genoa Town Park - Genoa

I had been through Genoa a couple times before we came to visit this park, but would never have known it was there if our playgroup hadn't visited for one of our weekly meet-ups. This playground has some of the best shade of any park we've been to so far, with most of the play structure under the shelter of all the great trees in the park. If you're looking to escape the summer heat and sun, this might be just the getaway you and your kiddos are looking for!

Located caddy-corner from Mormon Station State Park, this little community park is right off of Main street, but hidden from view by the trees. Parking is located along Nixon street, and while there isn't a large number of spaces it should be plenty for the size of the town. There are even trees that provide some nice shade for your car, especially if you visit in the morning.
The play structure in the park is in good condition, and seemed to be pretty toddler friendly. My 2 year old had no problems navigating the structure. The only problem we had was that the slides end fairly high off the ground so I needed to be at the bottom to catch her when she came down so she didn't fall. I'm there half the time anyway, so really it's not a big deal.
This park has restrooms and a drinking fountain available, which is always nice! They are located right next to the play area, so it's super easy to get your kiddo there in a hurry if you need to.
This park also had a nice little green space with a basketball court on one side. We loved all the trees and grass. Nestled in the foothills it's really a very pleasant location!
