Nevada Beach - Lake Tahoe

Nevada Beach was the first Tahoe beach we visited as a family, and we've been back many times since. If you want to enjoy a day at the lake this might be just the place for you! You certainly can't beat the view!

The thing that originally attracted us to this particular beach was the option for free parking. If you're willing to walk a bit you can park outside the gate and walk the nice paved path all the way down to the beach. It's only about a quarter mile from the street-side parking to the water.
This beach has well maintained restrooms, picnic tables, and BBQ grills. There is a boardwalk that goes all the way down to the water.
Another great perk to Nevada Beach is that it doesn't fill up as quickly as Sand Harbor. It's a little easier to carve out a section of beach here, which is a big deal to us! The sand here is a little coarse, so it doesn't work really well for sandcastles. We like that the water doesn't get deep too quickly for the kids to be able to play and have fun without getting in too deep.
