Carriage Square Park - Carson City

Our playgroup has been rotating through different parks around the area and we recently got to go check out this one. This great little park is just a five minute drive from downtown Carson City, but still manages to be quiet enough for fun with littles.

Parking for this park is all street-side parking on Cabrolet and Calash Drives. I think you could get closer to the play structure by parking on Calash, but there are trees shading a good chunk of the parking spaces on Cabrolet. Either way, this isn't a huge park so no matter where you park you won't have to hike too far to get to the fun.
Along with the swings (both regular and baby swings), there are two play structures. The smaller one seems to be intended for younger children, but there were elements of it my two-year old struggled with.
Amenities at this park were somewhat lackign. There are no restrooms at Carriage Square Park. We ended up having to drive back down the street to CVS when the need for a restroom came up. There was one picnic table (not in the shade) and a drinking fountain that worked, but leaked all over. Once my toddler discovered the puddle all she wanted to do was play in it.
In addition to the play structures there are lots of great shade trees and open grassy areas. Plenty of room to run around or spread out a picnic blanket.
We really did have a nice time playing here, and the kids have asked to go back several times so you know it must be good.
