Sunland Vista Park - Carson City

This little gem of a park was a fun discovery! Tucked back in a fairly quiet neighborhood it packs a fair amount of fun into a small space!

Located along Sunland Drive, this park is close to shopping, but doesn't feel at all like it's in the middle of things. Parking is street side, with no drinking fountains or restrooms available.
It had a nice shaded picnic area with multiple tables (no BBQ grills that I noticed), which is always nice! Another great feature was the sturdy fence separating the park from the street. While there were openings on either end without gates, I felt like you could turn your kids loose here without really having to worry about them getting into traffic.
This park is one of very few in Carson City that actually has swings! When we visited only one of the two baby swings was usable, but there are also two regular swings as well. One item of note was the sign posted on the fence which proclaimed "NO Ball Playing Allowed". You'll have to take your ball playing somewhere else.
For such a small park the play structure was actually quite large. It has several slides, monkey bars, tunnels, and more.
The play structure looked like it would work well for kids of all ages, with one side being smaller for toddlers and the other side big enough to keep older kids busy. My 3 year old loved it just as much as my 7 year old.
